The purpose of this two day program is to enhance participants' knowledge, level of skill, and personal awareness when providing care to families whose baby dies.
Attendees will include nurses, social workers physicians, chaplains and other professionals who provide care to families experiencing a perinatal loss in the CJFHC member hospitals and affiliates.
THIS COURSE IS OPEN TO CJFHC MEMBER HOSPITAL STAFF AND AFFILIATES.
This 2-day conference has been awarded 14.50 nursing contact hours.
Central Jersey Family Health Consortium is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the New Jersey State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Provider number P92-9/17-20. Provider approval is valid through September 30, 2020.

To receive a contact hour certificate for the 2-day conference, participants must complete the sign in each day, attend all sessions and complete an evaluation form.
Participants will also be awarded one contact hour per on-line module by Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, Inc., an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accedited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. As per the policy of RTS Bereavement Services, successful completion of the 3 on-line modules and the 2 day confrence are required for the participant to keep the RTS manual.

Apply the theoretical frameworks of caring, attachment, and grief with respect to perinatal loss cases.
Create meaningful keepsakes to honor the relationship between bereaved parents and their child.
Discuss NJ Department of Health stillbirth and perinatal regulations.
Identify areas of personal growith in developing a relationship with a bereaved family.
Prior to attending this 2-day conference, participants are required to successfully complete 3 on-line modules presented by Resolve Trhough Sharing (RTS) Bereavement Services, Gundersen Health System. The registration fee for the 2-day conference includes the on-line modules. Successful completion of the modules and the conference are required for a participant to be officially recognized by RTS Bereavement Services as an RTS Trained and to take home the manual.
