Preconception Peer Educator Training - A Healthy Baby Begins With You - March 13, 2019

Attend a one on-campus training to become a certified Preconception Peer Educator.

The U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health Resource Center, a nationwide service of the Office of Minority Health (OMH), launched the Preconception Peer Educators (PPE) Program as part of the "A Healthy Baby Begins with You" campaign.  The goal of this program is to raise awreness about preconception health, health disparities, and provide students with the tools to educate their community.

Event description:

We are looking for college students interested in public health, healthcare, nursing and related fields to become peer educators.  Become a health ambassador and help end health disparities!

Attend the training and receive:

  • An official PPE certificate from the Office of Minority Health delivered to your home address
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided
  • Training tools and resources
