Implicit And Explicit Bias SPEAK UP Training, Part 2-October 23, 2019

Implicit and Explicit SPEAK UP Training is a day-long interactive workshop that outlines strategies to help individuals and group dismantle racism, provide quality equitable care, and reduce health disparities.  The SPEAK UP training was developed by the Institute for Perinatal Quality Improvement (PQI).

Overall Objectives:

  • Describe factors that contribute to perinatal disparities based on a social justice framework
  • Outline quality improvement strategies and tactics for eliminating implicit and explicit bias when caring for women before, during and after pregnancy and when caring for newborns
  • Develop a quality improvement action plan for ensuring equity in perinatal outcomes

Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
