Safe Infant Sleep June Webinars

The SIDS Center of New Jersey is inviting parents, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community members to attend a free interactive webinar about safe sleep for babies during the first year of life.

This educational session will share the latest safe sleep recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and provide practical tips to help families create safer sleep environments for infants.

During the webinar, participants will learn about:

  • The difference between Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
  • Current safe sleep recommendations for infants
  • Safer infant sleep products and sleep spaces
  • Simple ways to help reduce the risk of sleep-related infant deaths

The webinar will be presented by Ariana Nuñez-Restituyo, MPH, and will be available in both English and Spanish.

This free session is designed to help families and communities feel informed, supported, and confident in creating safer sleep environments for babies.

All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and educational resources from the SIDS Center of New Jersey.

The SIDS Center of New Jersey is located at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack Meridian Health and is funded in part through a Health Services Grant from the New Jersey Department of Health.
