Early Care and Education Specialist
We are seeking a full time Early Care and Education Specialist to provide comprehensive, technical assistance and support to early childhood family care providers and center based programs enrolled in Grow NJ Kids, New Jersey’s quality rating improvement system. Technical Assistance Specialists work with center based and family based child care programs to provide mentoring, coaching, resources and technical assistance services to improve the early care and education system in New Jersey.
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education, child development or a closely related field
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
Two (2) years’ experience working as a teacher, primary care provider or home visitor in an early childhood setting, or an equivalent
Knowledge of various assessments tools, including the Environmental Rating Scales (ERS), and the Strengthening Families Protective Factors assessment tools
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Strong technology skills and familiarity with remote meeting platforms and the New Jersey Child Care Information System (NJCCIS)
Applicants should be familiar with geographical locations of assigned programs including Bergen, Hunterdon, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, Union or Warren counties.

Service Coordinator- Mercer County
We are seeking a Full Time Case Manager/Service Coordinator (SC). The Service Coordinator ensures that children and their families receive the support and service they need, as authorized under the NJ Department of Health Early Intervention Program. The SC assists families with infants/toddlers with special needs (birth to 3 years) by meeting in the home with the family and other practitioners to plan and ensure delivery of EI services.
The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in social work, public health, human services, health related field or education AND at least one year of post graduate documented paid, professional experience working with children (birth to 5 who have developmental delays) and their families in a counseling, supporting or case management role. If the candidate has a social work certification (CSW) or is a licensed social worker (LSW) the one year experience is waived.
Excellent communication skills-both written and oral; proficiency with Microsoft Office, interpersonal and problem solving skills and the ability to travel extensively on a daily basis for community based appointments in Mercer County, including Trenton.
