Hiring a doula can offer numerous benefits during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Doulas provide continuous emotional support, encouragement, and guidance to expecting parents, helping them navigate the challenges of labor and delivery. Their non-medical assistance complements the care provided by healthcare professionals, fostering a sense of empowerment and confidence in the birthing process. Additionally, doulas often assist with creating birth plans, offer pain management techniques, and provide postpartum support, enhancing the overall birthing experience and promoting a smoother transition into parenthood. Our Healthy Women, Healthy Families program, in partnership with the Childrens Home Society, is hiring for doulas to service Middlesex and Mercer counties.
