On April 18, 2024, the Black Maternal Health Conference will take center stage, spotlighting the theme “Turning up the Volume by Partnering with a Purpose: A Focus on Black Maternal Health."

The conference aims to bring together individuals and organizations committed to addressing critical issues surrounding Black maternal health. From sharing insights to fostering collaborations, the goal is clear: to empower Black mothers and improve healthcare outcomes. Multiple factors contribute to these disparities, such as variations in healthcare access, chronic health conditions and implicit bias. Last year's conference, "Choose to Improve" focused on inspiring a call to action for providers and community partners to find ways to "Choose to Improve" black maternal health through action and advocacy.

Scheduled to be held at Maggiano's Restaurant at 600, Commons Way, Bridgewater, NJ, this event is set to be a pivotal moment in the ongoing conversation about maternal healthcare disparities in New Jersey.
