What to Expect

These online forums will highlight the critical role of the Perinatal Addictions Prevention Programs (PAPP) and the 4Ps Plus Substance Use Screen, a key component of the Perinatal Risk Assessment (PRA).

Expert Insight:
Gain a deeper understanding of:

  • The Perinatal Addictions Prevention Program (PAPP) and its role in addressing the unique challenges faced by pregnant individuals struggling with substance use.
  • How the 4Ps Plus Substance Use Screen on the Perinatal Risk Assessment (PRA) identifies and supports substance use risk to promote healthier outcomes.

Resource Access:
Discover tools, strategies, and programs available across New Jersey to help providers serve pregnant people, and to help pregnant individuals overcome substance use challenges, ensuring the best outcomes for them and their families.

Statewide Collaboration:
This forum is a collaboration among the three Regional Maternal and Child Health Consortia (Northern, Central, and Southern NJ), funded by the Department of Health. Together, we aim to unite maternal healthcare providers across the state in tackling perinatal substance use through education and resource sharing.

Why This Matters
PAPP addresses the biopsychosocial needs of pregnant people, offering support, education, and resources to maternal healthcare professionals. By working together, we can better understand the unique challenges of perinatal substance use and provide the tools needed to overcome them.

Save the Dates!
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and grow with peers and experts in the field. Whether you’re a provider, advocate, or community leader, your participation helps strengthen the network of support for pregnant individuals across New Jersey.
