CJFHC Connecting NJ's Lillian Dieudonne Named FCI's 2025 Leader of the Year

Lillian FCI Award

Central Jersey Family Health Consortium is ecstatic to announce Family Connects International, has honored Lillian Dieudonne, RN, Nurse Manager for Family Connects NJ, as their 2025 Leader of the Year. Known for her ability to connect with families with the fewest resources—many of whom are new to the country—Lillian leads with empathy, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to care.

“Nursing isn’t just a profession to me,” Lillian shared. “It’s a passion rooted in empathy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to care. Being a nurse means advocating for those in need and making a real difference in their lives.”

That difference is felt deeply across her community. Lillian recalls one of her most impactful moments—a home visit to a young couple who had just had their first baby and recently arrived in the U.S. Despite language barriers and urgent needs, she was able to connect them with essential support, from diapers to food assistance. “Their gratitude was overwhelming,” she said. “It reminded me how meaningful even small acts of support can be.”

Lillian is recognized not only for her work in the field, but also for guiding and mentoring other nurses. She provides onboarding support even for those outside her team, speaks at conferences to elevate the Family Connects mission, and leads a remarkable team in Mercer County.

“One of my greatest accomplishments has been becoming the manager and leading the incredible team I have today,” she says. “Their dedication and heart inspire me every day.”

As we celebrate Nurses Week, we echo Lillian’s message to her peers: “To all the nurses on the Family Connects NJ team—you are seen and heard. The work you do is truly amazing, and you are making a real difference in the community.”

Lillian, your leadership reflects the very best of what nursing can be. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor.
