What is Early Intervention

Early Intervention (EI) is a state-wide program of services and supports for infants and toddlers birth through age 3 (0 - 36 months) that:

  • Helps young children with developmental delays like:
    • Delayed speaking
    • Not forming short sentences
    • Delayed walking and fine motor skills
    • Delayed social skills like sharing and engaging with other people in their environment.
