What is Early Intervention
Early Intervention (EI) is a state-wide program of services and supports for infants and toddlers birth through age 3 (0 - 36 months) that:
- Helps young children with developmental delays like:
- Delayed speaking
- Not forming short sentences
- Delayed walking and fine motor skills
- Delayed social skills like sharing and engaging with other people in their environment.
Mid-Jersey Cares and Who We Serve
Mid-Jersey CARES is the non-profit agency under Central Jersey Family Health Consortium that facilitates the Early Intervention system in Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, and Ocean County, and is part of the Regional Early Intervention Collaboratives (REIC) serving the state of New Jersey.
