Registration Open for Black Maternal Health Conference 2024, "Turning up the Volume by Partnering with a Purpose: A Focus on Black Maternal Health"

On April 18, 2024, the Black Maternal Health Conference will take center stage, spotlighting the theme “Turning up the Volume by Partnering with a Purpose: A Focus on Black Maternal Health." The event will take place at Maggiano's Restaurant, 600 Commons Way, Bridgewater, NJ.

The conference aims to bring together individuals and organizations committed to addressing critical issues surrounding Black maternal health. From sharing insights to fostering collaborations, the goal is clear: to empower Black mothers and improve healthcare outcomes. Registration for this event has reached capacity, but please register for our waitlist by visiting or scan the QR code on the flyer to be automatically notified of cancellations and open tickets.

Black women are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women. Unequitable access to healthcare, chronic health conditions, and implicit bias all contribute to this disparity. This one-day conference will enlighten the participants as to why this is still an issue. By the end of the conference, participants will be inspired to shift to a call to action to find ways to “Turn up the Volume “ to improve Black Maternal Health.

The conference committee is requesting that each agency that attends bring their program information and swag items (water bottles, pens, notepads, bags, gift cards), etc. These items can be in the form of a gift basket to include in a giveaway raffle or displayed on a resource table for conference attendees to access on their own. Leftover materials will be distributed by CJFHC programs to their clients and communities. All gift baskets will be entered into a drawing that will take place at the conference.
