As the summer season approaches, Connecting NJ is excited to continue their monthly education series, dedicated to providing parents and caregivers with essential tips, tricks, and knowledge to navigate early childhood. June is focusing on the critical aspects of mental and emotional health. The upcoming online sessions will offer invaluable insights and support to help you and your loved ones thrive during the early stages of parenthood.

June 17, 2024: "Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders: More Than Postpartum Depression" with Kathy Donaldson

Join us for an enlightening session with Kathy Donaldson as she delves into the often-overlooked spectrum of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. While postpartum depression is widely recognized, many parents and caregivers are unaware of the broader range of emotional challenges and symptoms that can arise during and after pregnancy.

In this session, Kathy will cover:

  • The signs and symptoms of postpartum depression and other perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
  • How to recognize these signs in yourself and others.
  • Practical steps to take if you or someone you know is struggling.
  • Available resources and support systems.
