We are thrilled to announce the addition of two new doulas to the CJFHC team in partnership with The Children's Home Society of New Jersey in Trenton. Elisha Mclean and Aszurde Jordan will be available to provide support to postpartum families in Mercer and Middlesex Counties through our Healthy Women, Healthy Families initiative and other critical programs.
Elisha Mclean will be serving families in Mercer County, while Aszurde Jordan will be offering her expertise to families in Middlesex County. Both will be working under the leadership of Choresse Chambers, Director of Maternal Child Health and Family Support at Children’s Home Society of New Jersey. Their presence will play a key role in improving maternal and child health outcomes in their communities, offering a compassionate, hands-on approach that empowers mothers during the postpartum period.
A Meet & Greet for Collaboration and Connection
On October 8th, CJFHC hosted a special meet and greet where both Elisha and Aszurde had the opportunity to connect with various programs and campaigns under the CJFHC umbrella. This event provided a platform for our doulas to engage with some of the critical initiatives they’ll be working alongside, including:
- Connecting NJ
- Healthy Families
- New Jersey Postpartum Resource & Support Network
- Stillbirth Awareness Campaign
- Breastfeeding Strategic Plan
A Holistic Approach to Postpartum Support
As doulas, Elisha and Aszurde bring a wealth of knowledge, care, and experience to their roles, serving as advocates and guides for families navigating the postpartum journey. Their work will help bridge the gap between childbirth and the complex needs that often arise after delivery. With their deep commitment to maternal and child health, they will provide physical, emotional, and informational support, ensuring families in Mercer and Middlesex Counties have access to essential care.
Moving Forward Together
With Elisha and Aszurde now on board, we look forward to seeing the impact they will have on the communities they serve. Their dedication aligns perfectly with CJFHC's vision of creating healthier families and stronger communities. We are confident that their contributions will be transformative, helping to address some of the most pressing challenges in maternal and child health.
We’re excited to see the collaborative efforts between CJFHC, The Children's Home Society of New Jersey, and our dedicated doulas grow. Their presence enhances our ability to serve postpartum families, providing holistic, culturally competent care that meets the unique needs of each family.
Please join us in welcoming Elisha Mclean and Aszurde Jordan to the CJFHC family as we continue to work together to ensure that every family in Mercer and Middlesex Counties thrives during the postpartum period and beyond!
