On October 23, 2024, Connecting NJ hosted a successful Community Baby Shower at the Hunterdon County Library Headquarters in Flemington, NJ, gathering new and expecting parents along with community members and community-based organizations to celebrate and welcome babies into the community. The event was a warm and supportive, and filled with resources and prizes.
Attendees enjoyed a lively atmosphere with an array of prizes and giveaways, including essential baby items like diapers, wipes, and larger baby gear like car seats and strollers. Resource tables offered a wealth of parenting information, connecting families to local programs and support services to help guide them through their parenting journey.
The festive evening included light refreshments, engaging activities like facepainting and games, and countless opportunities for attendees to meet other families, share experiences, and celebrate. This event was a beautiful example of community spirit, as friends, families, and resource providers came together to show their support for Hunterdon County’s newest parents and their little ones.
