Each year, too many families in New Jersey and across the country experience the devastating loss of a baby due to Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID), including Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). The SIDS Center of New Jersey (SCNJ) invites families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to take part in the “Reduce the Risk” initiative—raising awareness and sharing life-saving information about safe infant sleep.
Following the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) safe sleep recommendations from birth to 12 months of age is one of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of SIDS and other sleep-related causes of infant death. SCNJ offers a variety of free resources, educational tools, and live webinars to help families and professionals learn and share safe sleep practices.
